“A return visit to the island and the cottage – once again we were not disappointed. Can especially recommend the Sea Eagle Hide Loch Frisa and the Isle of Mull Wildlife Expedition. Superb sightings of sea eagles at Grass Point, also managed Golden Eagles and Otters, so much better in the flesh. All in all another excellent week on Mull. The R’s Aberdeen,

“Firstly what a great cottage ! The only time I’ve actually wanted to cook in self catering. Most importantly very clean and very well appointed – couldn’t have wished for better. Red deer opposite cottage every day, early evening and early morning plus even better an otter on the small lake. Calgary great for off lead dog walking. Iona trip a must, island is very beautiful and tranquil, great beaches. The dolphins and the seal we saw coming back to Mull on the ferry made it a perfect day, Going home with lots of great memories, saw a Golden Eagle on last day on the walk to the volcanic crater loch off the road from here to Tobermory. D & N,

“Thank you for a fantastic week. Wonderful cottage, amazing views and the wildlife ….incredible. Deer very close to the cottage every day, otters, buzzards everywhere, seals (20+ at Salen), sea eagle, golden eagle and much more. Feeding lambs etc.

Calgary Bay is one of the most beautiful places on earth….much tears from the kids on our last visit. Will come back and highly recommend the cottage to friends- best cottage we’ve stayed in. Really well equipped, cared for, excellent collection of books, games etc …and we never seemed to put the binoculars down all week. Thanks again for everything. The N’s Lancs,

“Full marks for the excellent cottage. Highlights Ulva – lovely island to escape for a few hours, Erraid – can walk across at low tide. Fairly easy walk of about 20 mins, we managed 3 small children and 8 month pregnant mum. Calgary Bay lots of sand and rock pools…. Will do the boat trip to Staffa next time.” The M’s

“Another wonderful week here at Glen Cottage. Eagles every day, great walking, good food and warm welcome (even with 3 children in tow) at the Bellachroy. Torosay (by train) and Duart Castle a must. Wonderful drive with fantastic views through Glen More and Salen scenic route. Thank you – cottage as always, immaculate. We’ll be back ! (again) R & B, West Kilbride,

“ Back for the 3rd year in a row (plus one first-timer who also can’t wait to come back again !) …We were fortunate enough to be at the RSPB Eagle Hide near Loch Frisa when the second white-tailed eagle chick made its first flight and saw its parents too. Otters were glimpsed in the little loch across from the cottage and Loch Scridain, and Golden Eagles and buzzards along with various other species of bird were spotted around the island. Deer were also seen from the cottage and on the road to Loch Buie. \Thanks for having us at Glen Cottage again – we’re already looking forward to the next visit ! “C,M,C,V & S Aberdeen and Kent,

“The cottage is very well appointed and offers extremely comfortable accommodation and the views across the glen and down to Dervaig are breathtaking. There is always something interesting to see out of the windows whether it is hen harriers hunting over the marsh, the occasional eagle or ducks and geese on the small loch. The cottage is to recommended as a great holiday destination – for which many thanks.

We have had a wonderful relaxing holiday on Mull with plenty to keep us occupied. Although the weather was a little indifferent at times we were able to get out every day and on some days the weather was glorious. Stunning scenery particularly along the West Coast and out to distant isles which kept our camera snapping. Wildlife spectacular, especially 2 golden eagles at Torosay castle as well as at Loch Frisa, both attractions worth a visit. Similarly Iona is well worth a visit for both its scenery and history.”The F’s

“Many thanks for a beautifully presented and equipped cottage. Just right for my husband, mum- in- law and 2 kids. Our dogs settled in with great ease and have done miles. Thanks for the dog long lead – our Irish Setter would fancy deer forest and birds at Calgary Bay !

Our third time on Mull (my husband and I) and we’ll be back again in coming years…there I so much to do on Mull for all ages – cute Tobermory (thoroughly recommend Café Fish @ pier), Dervaig’s Bellachroy, the standing stones, the Old Byre (only covered play area on Mull) and Torosay Castle. Any walks are stunning and you’ve a high chance of spotting wildlife. A golden eagle was good enough to perch in the mature trees clearly visible from the cottage and the binoculars (provided) were a boon.

Thanks for contributing to a lovely holiday.” The M’s, Clackmannanshire,

“We (three girlfriends from the Netherlands) enjoyed a comfortable week in the cottage. It is indeed very complete, which we appreciated because we cooked for ourselves. We were surprised that there was so much to see and do on this island of Mull.  Our first trip was in Port Langa Mull and maybe therefore we liked this (first) view of Scotland very much. Two of us went on a bat trip to Staffa and Lunga. I preferred a day walk on Ulva which was probably the most beautiful walk in my life….we admired the coast at Loch Na Keal where we discovered sea anemones (red ones). We wanted to see the back of Ben More and we walked up along Lock Ba up till the magnificent waterfalls…we also did a wildlife tour and saw a beautiful white tailed eagle, grey seals and common seals. We all hope to visit this cottage once again ! M,L & M (Netherlands)

“Loved the cottage – clean, comfortable and great location. Enjoyed eating and drinking at the Bellachroy. Calgary Beach absolutely stunning. Trip to Treshnish Isles was fantastic. Always keep binoculars and camera handy ! Driving on single track roads is fun and scary ! We have not holidayed in Scotland for years and beautiful it is. Had a fantastic time and hope to be back sometime”. The T’s, Edinburgh,

“Enjoyed a lovely relaxing stay in this comfortable, well equipped cottage – a real home from home ! Calgary Beach, beautiful – loved our visit there…managed to see some wildlife – seal at Tobermory, herons, buzzards and various eagle sightings. Walt Disney video collection kept our 5 year old son occupied on wet mornings – thanks for that ! Great holiday will be back soon !” The E’s, N. Lanarkshire,

“Very well equipped cottage – the best we have stayed in over many years. Many thanks Linda. “Eagle Island” DVD (in cottage) well worth watching as a taster of things to come. Day trip to Lunga and Staffa with Turus Mara is a must …if traveling to the head of Loch Buie take a bag of breadcrumbs and hand feed the chaffinches (who will sit on your hands) in the parking area. Eagle hide at Lock Frisa is well worth a visit as well as Duart Castle.” The P’s,

“We have had a wonderful time in a fabulous house located in just the right spot (and thank you for ordering such fab weather !) Saw a sea eagle flying past the window on 2 separate occasions. What a treat !...very much enjoyed our meals in the Bellachroy and the opportunity to sit out doors to finish the bottle of wine. I have absolutely no suggestions for improvements this is just a first rate holiday home. Thank you once again.” J, H and B,

“Thank you ever so much. A most excellent cottage in a wonderful location. Very well equipped accommodation, far exceeding our expectations – spotless, spacious and comfortable. Found Dervaig a superb village – especially found the Bellachroy the friendliest and best value for money – was  lovely to be within walking distance of such a lovely Inn. Beautiful weather – warm and sunny most days – books in the cottage most useful for planning outings. Thoroughly enjoyed Ulva – Boathouse serve the most magnificent prawns and food at Calgary Tearoom and Bellachroy are great too. Calgary walk in the woods – Art In Nature is very interesting. Thank you for the absolutely fabulous base from which to holiday.” S & J, Troon,

“This is one of the very best cottages we have used  - and we experience many cottages. An excellent week with constant fine weather – sun, slight breeze – superb for walking. Walks in Mull book (in cottage) very useful and we thought Ulva, Treshnish and Langamull very good. Magnificent journey to Staffa, went ashore, into the cave and saw the puffins.” P, S and H,
